Online Relationship Counselling · Reading
Online relationship counselling for Reading, by secure video. From a base in Hove I work with people across Reading, from the centre and the university quarter to the streets around the Thames, with the same BACP-registered, confidential support as an in-person session, and no journey.

In and around Reading
Life in Reading
Two demanding careers in the Thames Valley technology corridor can hollow out a marriage without either person behaving badly. One of you is on a call at half past seven; the other opens the laptop again once the children are asleep, and by the time you speak properly it is a handover about the week ahead. Add the commute, whether that is into the capital or out along the motorway, and a mortgage in Caversham or Lower Earley that requires both salaries, and the relationship becomes the one item that never gets scheduled. Couples here often say they have become excellent colleagues. That is usually said with a laugh, and it is almost never funny.

Relationship counselling here, for couples or individuals, slows down the pattern you are caught in and builds healthier ways of hearing and being heard.
The approach does not change with the postcode, so rather than repeat it on every page you can read it in full, the methods and what each session covers, on everything on relationship counselling, alongside session lengths and fees and qualifications, registration and ethics.
Sessions run over a secure, encrypted video link, held to the same BACP confidentiality as meeting in person. After a free fifteen-minute call, you join from any private space on a phone, tablet or laptop.
Sessions are held online by secure video, so nothing has to be fitted around a train home. Bradley works from Hove and there is no room in Reading to travel to, which turns out to be the reason this is workable at all for busy couples. An hour at eight in the evening is as available as one at midday. You can be on the same sofa in Tilehurst, or on two screens when one of you is working late at the office.

Relationship Counselling in Reading
The presenting problem here is usually time, and the actual problem usually sits underneath it. Who is allowed to be tired. Whose work is treated as the one that cannot move. What happened to the version of the two of you that existed before the jobs did. Recorded depression on GP registers reached 12.8% of adults aged 18 and over in 2024/25, below the England average of 14.3%, and low mood in one partner rearranges a household long before anybody calls it depression. Sessions focus on repair, because the argument itself is rarely the injury; the careful, distant days afterwards generally are. Drinking that started as a way of switching off can be looked at here without anyone being blamed for it. You are welcome on your own if your partner will not come. NHS Berkshire Talking Therapies takes free self-referrals, and Mind in Berkshire runs local support.
Not sure if it is right for you? A free fifteen-minute call is a no-obligation way to talk it through.

Reading questions
Early morning and late evening slots are both available, and a weekly time can be moved when a work pattern changes. A free 15-minute consultation can usually be fixed within a few days of getting in touch. Protecting one hour a week is difficult, but it is considerably easier than protecting a journey too.
It is charged per session, not per person, so bringing your partner costs nothing extra. The hour is charged at £80, the ninety-minute appointment at £100 and the two-hour one at £120. The first 15-minute conversation is free, and payment is made session by session rather than up front.
NHS Berkshire Talking Therapies is free, takes self-referrals without a GP appointment, and includes couple-focused work for depression in some areas. Mind in Berkshire offers wellbeing support around the county. Both are worth approaching regardless of what else you decide.
Yes, and quite a few couples in this area do exactly that. A booked meeting room at one end and the kitchen table at the other works perfectly well. What matters is that both of you can speak freely, so headphones and a door that closes are worth arranging.
Almost always, yes. Arguments about the calendar are rarely about the calendar; they are usually the only place left where something more difficult can surface. Once the underlying question gets said directly, the diary rows tend to lose most of their heat.
Because there is nothing to travel to, sessions can be booked for the early evening once you are both back, or on a shared work-from-home day. We find a regular time that survives the rhythm of the commute rather than fighting against it.
Usually within the same week. There is no waiting list, so after a free 15-minute consultation we book your first session at a time that fits around the Paddington commute and demanding Thames Valley hours. Everything is held securely online, joined from home in Caversham, Tilehurst or Earley.
Sessions are £80 for 60 minutes, £100 for 90 minutes and £120 for 120 minutes, after a free 15-minute consultation. NHS Talking Therapies in Berkshire is free but can involve a waiting list, whereas private sessions with Bradley let the two of you choose when to begin.
Yes. One of you can join from home and the other from the office, and early-evening slots are available once you are both back from Green Park or the town centre. With nothing to travel to, we set a regular time that survives the rhythm of the commute.
A free fifteen-minute call is the simplest place to start, no obligation, just a chance to see if we are the right fit.
