Online relationship counselling for Swansea, by secure video. From a base in Hove I work with people across Swansea, from the centre and the marina to the streets around the bay, with the same BACP-registered, confidential support as an in-person session, and no journey.

In and around Swansea
Life in Swansea
Swansea has a way of looking like an easy place to live. The Gower peninsula is half an hour out, the bay is right there, and people assume that being unhappy here must mean you are doing something wrong. Meanwhile one of you is on a rota at Morriston Hospital and the other works days, and you have not had a whole weekend together since June. Around Sketty, Killay and Gorseinon there are households running like well-managed businesses, with everything covered and nothing said. When the pressure finally does come out, it comes out sideways, in a remark about the dishwasher carrying three months behind it.

Relationship counselling here, for couples or individuals, slows down the pattern you are caught in and builds healthier ways of hearing and being heard.
Because the work itself is the same wherever you live, the detail sits in one place rather than all of them: the main relationship counselling page sets out the methods, the practical side covers the practicalities, and my BACP registration covers accountability.
Sessions run over a secure, encrypted video link, held to the same BACP confidentiality as meeting in person. After a free fifteen-minute call, you join from any private space on a phone, tablet or laptop.
Swansea is an online location, because the room Bradley works from is in Hove. For a couple, video takes away the logistics that usually stop this from happening at all: two schedules, one journey, somebody to mind the children. You can sit together or dial in from different places, which helps when one of you is on a late. Individual sessions are just as available, and many people start alone.

Relationship Counselling in Swansea
People here come to relationship work at every stage and for very different reasons. Students in Brynmill trying to work out whether a first serious relationship is supposed to feel like this. Parents in their forties who cannot remember a conversation that was not about logistics. Somebody on their own, unsure whether the problem is the marriage or their own flat mood. The method is much the same in each case. We slow down the exchanges that go wrong, find what each person is protecting, and put words to the request hiding inside the complaint. Where drinking has become part of the household routine it gets named plainly, and Barod runs the substance use services for Swansea if that needs its own attention. Swansea Mind is a further local option. Through the NHS in Wales, your GP is the route into local mental health support.
Not sure if it is right for you? A free fifteen-minute call is a no-obligation way to talk it through.

Swansea questions
With a free 15-minute call, which either of you can arrange. It is a brief conversation about what has been happening and how the sessions would work. Weekly appointments usually begin within a week or two. Nothing needs a referral, and there is no list to join.
The fee goes by the appointment rather than the number of people: £80 for 60 minutes, £100 for 90 minutes, £120 for 120 minutes. Two people often use the 90-minute slot so that neither has to rush. There is nothing to pay for that initial 15-minute call.
In Wales the referral runs through your GP into the local primary mental health support service, so start with the surgery rather than an online form. Swansea Mind works across the city. If you need to talk to somebody quickly, CALL is free on 0800 132 737.
It can. A settled weekly time is easier to protect, but where a rota rotates the slot can be set a block at a time instead. Because there is no travelling involved, an hour between shifts is usable in a way it would not otherwise be.
It is very common and not daft at all. A beautiful setting does not stop a marriage going quiet, and feeling that you have no right to be unhappy simply adds a second problem on top of the first. Nobody here will tell you to count your blessings.
Yes. Because sessions are by secure video, the distance from the city makes no difference. You and your partner can join together from home along the Gower coast or from the city itself, without either of you facing a drive to an appointment.
Usually within a week or two. I am not in Swansea in person, my room is in Hove, but I work with couples right across the bay by secure video. We begin with a free 15-minute consultation, then set up your first full session at a time that suits you both.
Couples sessions are £80 for 60 minutes, £100 for 90 minutes or £120 for two hours, after a free 15-minute chat. Relationship help through Swansea Bay health board can mean a wait, so many couples prefer to begin privately and promptly online.
Yes. Sessions run by secure video, so you can sit together or join from different places when one of you is on Gower or in Mumbles and the other in town. I also offer evening appointments, which helps couples working around Swansea's docks and campuses.
A free fifteen-minute call is the simplest place to start, no obligation, just a chance to see if we are the right fit.
