Online Relationship Counselling · Luton
Online relationship counselling for Luton, by secure video. From a base in Hove I work with people across Luton, from the town centre and High Town to the streets around the airport, with the same BACP-registered, confidential support as an in-person session, and no journey.

In and around Luton
Life in Luton
Luton runs on shift patterns. London Luton Airport is one of the town's largest employers, and a great many households are organised around early starts, night finishes and rotas that shift every few weeks. Two people can be married and effectively living in different time zones, handing over childcare in a hallway in Stopsley or Leagrave. Add the work of building a life in a town families have come to from elsewhere, and relatives who hold firm views on what a marriage should look like, and there is often very little unclaimed time in which a couple can simply talk to each other. What fails first is rarely the affection. It is the ordinary conversation that used to keep the affection topped up.

Relationship counselling here, for couples or individuals, slows down the pattern you are caught in and builds healthier ways of hearing and being heard.
The approach does not change with the postcode, so rather than repeat it on every page you can read it in full, the methods and what each session covers, on the main relationship counselling page, alongside how sessions run and what they cost and professional standards and registration.
Sessions run over a secure, encrypted video link, held to the same BACP confidentiality as meeting in person. After a free fifteen-minute call, you join from any private space on a phone, tablet or laptop.
Holding sessions online takes the rota out of the equation. There is nothing in Luton to travel to; Bradley works from Hove and meets you by secure video wherever you happen to be. A half past nine morning slot is as bookable as a seven in the evening one, which counts for a lot when one of you is on nights. You can also attend alone, from a parked car before a shift, without anyone at home needing to know.

Relationship Counselling in Luton
Two things tend to bring people in Luton towards relationship work. The first is distance, the slow accumulation of missed evenings until the two of you are efficient co-parents and not much else. The second is strain: one partner drinking more than either of you says out loud, or a flatness that has settled over the whole house. Recorded depression on GP registers here stood at 8.7% of patients aged 18+ in 2024/25, below the England average of 14.3%, and a low recorded figure can say as much about who gets as far as a GP as about how people actually feel. The work looks at the pattern running between you rather than settling who is at fault. Come as a pair or come on your own. Total Wellbeing Luton takes free self-referrals, ResoLUTiONs is the town's alcohol and drug recovery service, and Mind BLMK runs wellbeing support locally.
Not sure if it is right for you? A free fifteen-minute call is a no-obligation way to talk it through.

Luton questions
Usually within a week or so. The free 15-minute consultation is arranged around your rotas, not office hours, and early morning and late evening slots exist for exactly this reason. If your shift pattern rotates, we can move the weekly time rather than cancelling the work altogether.
Sessions are £80 / 60 min, £100 / 90 min and £120 / 120 min, and how a couple divides that between them is entirely your business. Payment is per session rather than in blocks, so nothing is committed in advance. The initial 15-minute consultation costs nothing at all.
Total Wellbeing Luton is the NHS Talking Therapies service for the town and takes self-referrals without a GP letter. It is free, and worth starting while you consider anything else. Mind BLMK also runs wellbeing groups locally if what you want is company rather than formal therapy.
It achieves a surprising amount. Relationships are systems, and one person changing how they respond alters what happens next for both. Individual sessions also give you room to work out what you actually want, which is hard to do in a room where you are managing someone else's reaction.
Completely private. Nothing is shared with your GP, your family or anyone else without your agreement, and there is no building in Bury Park or High Town that anyone could see you entering. Headphones and a closed door are all that is needed at your end for the hour.
Yes. Because there is nothing to travel to, we can set times around night shifts and early starts and move them when your rotas change. Many Luton couples working airport and shift patterns find online sessions far easier to sustain than fixed in-person appointments.
Usually within a week. There is no waiting list, so after a free 15-minute consultation we book a first session around airport and shift-work hours. It is held securely online, joined from home in High Town, Bury Park or Leagrave, so unsociable rotas need not stand in the way.
Sessions are £80 for 60 minutes, £100 for 90 minutes and £120 for 120 minutes, after a free 15-minute consultation. NHS Talking Therapies in Bedfordshire is free but can involve a waiting list, whereas private work with Bradley lets the two of you choose a time that fits your rotas.
Yes. Shift and airport hours are a common reason couples here choose online. Sessions are joined from home, or from two places if one of you is at work, with earlier or later slots available. We set a regular time that works around the rota rather than against it.
A free fifteen-minute call is the simplest place to start, no obligation, just a chance to see if we are the right fit.
