Online Relationship Counselling · Falkirk

In and around Falkirk
Life in Falkirk
Falkirk lives with uncertainty about work. The Grangemouth petrochemical complex has shaped wages, shifts and family life here for generations, and the questions hanging over that industry are felt at kitchen tables in Camelon, Bainsford and Carron long before they reach the news. A household where one wage is not secure argues differently. It argues about small things at the wrong volume. Add shift patterns that put two people on opposite clocks, and a central-belt commute that eats the evenings, and a couple can go weeks without a conversation that is not admin. The canals are still there and so is the town, but the two of you have quietly stopped going anywhere together.

Relationship counselling here, for couples or individuals, slows down the pattern you are caught in and builds healthier ways of hearing and being heard.
The method travels; only the geography changes. the relationship counselling page explains it properly, how I work answers the practical questions, and how to check my registration shows how the practice is held to account.
Sessions run over a secure, encrypted video link, held to the same BACP confidentiality as meeting in person. After a free fifteen-minute call, you join from any private space on a phone, tablet or laptop.
Bradley is in Hove and there is no room in Falkirk, so relationship sessions run by secure video. That fits a shift town. If one of you is on nights, we can find a daytime hour that does not cost anybody their sleep. If you are both home, you sit together at one screen with the door shut. And when one partner is working away for a stretch, the session still happens, with you joining from wherever you each are.

Relationship Counselling in Falkirk
Work insecurity has a way of turning into relationship trouble without ever being discussed as work insecurity. One of you copes by planning obsessively and the other by refusing to think about it, and each finds the other's method infuriating. Drink can settle into that gap. So can a low mood that gets read as indifference. What we do is slow and specific: how the two of you raise a difficult subject, what happens in the minutes before it goes wrong, and how you repair afterwards instead of leaving it. Trust that has been damaged can be rebuilt, though it takes longer than most people hope it will. You may come as a couple or on your own. Through the health service, a GP referral leads to NHS psychological therapies; NHS inform holds trusted self-help and Breathing Space is free on 0800 83 85 87.
Not sure if it is right for you? A free fifteen-minute call is a no-obligation way to talk it through.

Falkirk questions
Usually yes, because online removes travel from either end and daytime hours are available. Where a rota rotates, we can set each appointment a week ahead rather than fixing one permanently. Some couples keep a standing slot and simply attend alone in the weeks when the shift makes it impossible.
Sessions are charged once, not twice: an hour is £80, ninety minutes £100, and two hours £120. Couples frequently pick ninety minutes so that both accounts get proper time. Before any booking there is a free 15-minute consultation, to check that this is the right fit for you.
Here it goes through your GP, who can refer you into NHS psychological therapies. NHS inform has self-help that is worth using while you wait, and Breathing Space is free on 0800 83 85 87 when the evening is the worst of it. Both routes can run together.
It cannot change the household income, and it would be wrong to pretend it could. What it can do is change how the two of you handle it: who avoids, who catastrophises, and how a conversation about money might end without one of you feeling blamed for everything.
Relationship sessions can address what the drinking has done between you, which is often the part nobody has said aloud. For the drinking itself, Forth Valley Recovery Service (Change Grow Live) works in the area and the Falkirk Alcohol and Drug Partnership can point you further. Your GP can advise as well.
Yes. Because we meet by secure video, we can find a time that works around your travel, including early mornings or evenings from home. There is no journey across Falkirk to make, which helps a great deal when the day is already long.
Usually within a week or two. We begin with a free 15-minute consultation, then book a first session to suit you both. Everything runs by secure video across Falkirk and Grangemouth, so there is no waiting list and no appointment across town to reach.
Sessions are £80 for an hour, £100 for 90 minutes and £120 for two hours, after a free 15-minute consultation. NHS Forth Valley rarely offers dedicated couples work and waits can be long, so many Falkirk couples choose private online sessions to be seen sooner.
Around your travel. Sessions run by secure video, so we can find early or evening times from home, and if one of you is still in the city you can join from two different places. That flexibility helps Falkirk couples whose days already go on the rails.
A free fifteen-minute call is the simplest place to start, no obligation, just a chance to see if we are the right fit.
