Relationship Counselling · Hassocks
Relationship Counselling for Hassocks and the surrounding area, in person or online. Few things hurt like struggling with the person you are meant to be closest to. We slow down the pattern you are caught in together and learn healthier ways of hearing and being heard.
Hassocks is a village at the foot of the Downs, beneath the Clayton windmills known as Jack and Jill. From streets near the Jack and Jill windmills, Adastra Park and the South Downs to the edges of town, people come to work through what's been weighing on them, in person or online.
Sessions take place at Intergen House on Western Road in Hove, a discreet, comfortable space. From Hassocks a short train ride or a fifteen to twenty minute drive over the Downs brings you to Hove. Online sessions are there too, if that suits you better.
Just along the way, the same support is available in Ditchling, Burgess Hill, Patcham.
So whether you are searching for relationship counselling near you in Hassocks, or weighing up in-person against online sessions, you are in the right place.

What to expect
We go at your pace. You decide how much to share and when, and the sessions stop when you've arrived where you want to be.
The room is in central Hove, close to Hassocks with good bus and rail links and parking nearby.
We start with a free fifteen-minute consultation, no obligation, so you can see if I'm the right fit before anything begins.
I draw on whatever genuinely helps you, from Human Givens and IFS to solution-focused and relational work.
Whether we meet in the room or on screen, the approach is the same. My approach is integrative and person-centred. We are not looking for someone to blame, but at the system the two of you create together and where it gets stuck, drawing on relational therapy, Internal Family Systems and Human Givens approaches.
I see people from all over Hassocks and the wider area. Wherever you are, near the Jack and Jill windmills, Adastra Park and the South Downs or further out, the work is the same: a calm, confidential space shaped around you.
You can read more about relationship counselling and about my methods, sessions and fees. There is no obligation: we begin with a free fifteen minute call to see whether we are the right fit.
Start the conversationMy counselling sits alongside the help available locally, and it can be worth knowing what else is there. For free NHS talking therapy in Hassocks, you can refer yourself directly to NHS West Sussex Talking Therapies, with no GP referral needed. You can also find your nearest service through the NHS Talking Therapies finder.
Seeing me privately usually means you can start sooner, stay with the same counsellor throughout, and work at greater depth and pace; the two can run side by side, and I'm glad to work alongside any NHS or GP support you already have. If you are waiting for NHS therapy, beginning privately can be a way to make a start now rather than putting things off, and we can always work in whatever way fits best alongside what is already in place.
This practice is not a crisis service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999.
For urgent mental health support, call NHS 111 and choose the mental health option. The Samaritans are free, day or night, on 116 123, or text SHOUT to 85258.
