Trauma Counselling for London, without the journey

From the heart of London, near the City, the West End, the river and the great parks, out to its edges, from the inner boroughs to the outer suburbs, Zone 1 out to the edges of the M25, online sessions make it possible to get the right support without rearranging your whole day around a single appointment.

Hove is where my room is, but the support is not tied to Sussex. Over a secure link I work with people in London and far beyond, with the same depth and confidentiality as meeting face to face.

I also work online with people elsewhere in London & South East, including Watford, Slough, Reading.

If you would still prefer to meet in person and can travel to the Sussex coast, you are welcome to, but for most clients in London online trauma counselling is the natural and effective choice.

Life in London

Why people in London reach out

London moves fast and rarely pauses. Long hours, high housing costs and crowded commutes leave little room to stop and feel, and the sheer scale of the city can be isolating even when you are never really alone. Time and privacy are the scarce commodities here, which is exactly why a confidential hour that comes to you, rather than one you have to cross the capital for, so often makes the difference.

The pace and scale of a busy urban area can be isolating even when you are never really alone. A session you join from your own space keeps the focus on you, not on the journey there.

Why online works in London

Why people in London choose online counselling

Privacy in a crowded city

In a place as busy as London, a confidential hour from your own space means no chance of being seen coming or going.

Support that travels

If you move, travel for work or split your time between places, online counselling carries on uninterrupted wherever you happen to be.

No commute, no waiting room

From London, there's no journey across town and no waiting room. You join from wherever feels safe, and the rest of your day simply carries on around the session.

A wider choice of specialist

Working online means people in London aren't limited to whoever practises locally. You can choose the counsellor who genuinely fits the issue you're facing, not just the nearest one.

A calm space for online trauma counselling in London

How online sessions work

Here's what actually happens once we begin. I am integratively trained and draw on approaches designed specifically for trauma, including the Human Givens Rewind Technique, a calm, non-intrusive method that returns a memory to ordinary recall. You do not have to relive the detail or even speak it aloud for this to work.

Sessions run over a secure video link. All you need is a private space where you won't be interrupted, a laptop, tablet or phone, and a reasonable connection. We begin with a free fifteen-minute call, then I send a simple link you click at the agreed time.

Finding support in London

My online counselling sits alongside the help available locally, and it can be worth knowing what else is there. In London, you can refer yourself directly to your local borough's NHS Talking Therapies service for free NHS talking therapy, with no GP referral needed. You can also find your nearest service through the NHS Talking Therapies finder.

Private sessions with me usually mean you can start sooner, stay with the same counsellor throughout, and work at greater depth and pace; the two can run side by side, and I'm glad to work alongside any NHS or GP support you already have.

If you need urgent help now

This practice is not a crisis service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999.

For urgent mental health support, call NHS 111 and choose the mental health option. The Samaritans are free, day or night, on 116 123, or text SHOUT to 85258.

London questions

Online Trauma Counselling in London: common questions

Do you offer online trauma counselling for people in London?

Yes. I work with clients in London and right across the UK by secure video. You don't need to live near Brighton or Hove; online trauma counselling brings the same care to wherever you are.

What do I need to start online sessions in London?

Very little: a private space where you won't be interrupted, a laptop, tablet or phone, and a reasonable internet connection. After a free fifteen-minute call, I send a secure link you click at our agreed time.

Does online therapy really work?

Online and in-person therapy are similarly effective for most people, and clients usually settle quickly once the screen fades into the background and the conversation takes over.

Is online counselling private and confidential?

Yes. Sessions run on a secure, encrypted video link, and everything we discuss is held to the same strict BACP confidentiality as work done in person. All you need at your end is a private space.
