Online Relationship Counselling · Dudley
Online relationship counselling for Dudley, by secure video. From a base in Hove I work with people across Dudley, from the town centre and the castle to the streets around the Black Country Living Museum, with the same BACP-registered, confidential support as an in-person session, and no journey.

In and around Dudley
Life in Dudley
There is a way of being together round here that gets called getting on with it. You do not make a fuss, you do not air things, and whatever is wrong between you gets carried rather than said. It works for years. Then the work goes insecure, or the hours at Merry Hill change again, or the money will not stretch, and the silence that held everything up starts to cost more than it saves. Couples in Sedgley, Netherton and Quarry Bank often arrive having never once had the conversation, not because they do not care but because nobody in either family ever modelled how. That is a skill, and it can be learned late.

Relationship counselling here, for couples or individuals, slows down the pattern you are caught in and builds healthier ways of hearing and being heard.
What actually happens in the room is the same everywhere, so it is written up once: see the main relationship counselling page for the methods, how I work for fees and session lengths, and my BACP registration if you want to check who you would be working with.
Sessions run over a secure, encrypted video link, held to the same BACP confidentiality as meeting in person. After a free fifteen-minute call, you join from any private space on a phone, tablet or laptop.
Bradley is in Hove and holds no room in the Black Country, so this is done by secure video. For a town where everybody seems to know everybody, that privacy is worth a lot: no waiting area, nobody spotted going in. Sessions can be shared on one screen or taken from two separate rooms if that feels safer to start with. And you do not need your partner's agreement, or even their knowledge, to book the first conversation yourself.

Relationship Counselling in Dudley
People come because the arguing has become circular, or because it has stopped altogether and that feels worse. Sometimes drink is in the middle of it. Sometimes one of you has been flat for so long that the whole household has quietly reorganised itself around keeping you steady. In Dudley, 19.9% of adults reported a high anxiety score in 2022/23, below the England average of 23.8%, which is a self-reported figure in a place with a long habit of answering that you are fine. What we do is unglamorous and it works: one recurring row taken apart slowly, the actual want underneath the complaint brought into the open, and repair tested in small ways you can both check. The NHS Talking Therapies finder lets you self-refer in England, and the Atlantic Recovery Centre in Dudley is the local route for drink and drugs.
Not sure if it is right for you? A free fifteen-minute call is a no-obligation way to talk it through.
Book a free 15-minute callMy online counselling sits alongside the help available locally. In Dudley, you can refer yourself directly to NHS talking therapies for anxiety and depression, with no GP referral needed. You can find support through the NHS Talking Therapies finder.
Private sessions with me usually mean you can start sooner and stay with the same counsellor throughout; I am glad to work alongside any NHS or GP support you already have.

This is not a crisis service. If anyone is in immediate danger call 999. For urgent mental health support, call NHS 111 and choose the mental health option. The Samaritans are free, day or night, on 116 123, or text SHOUT to 85258.
Dudley questions
A free 15-minute call first, which is just talking, then weekly sessions if you want them. Nobody is analysed, nobody takes sides, and there is no expectation that you arrive able to explain yourselves. Most of the first hour is simply the two of you saying how it got to here.
One fee for the appointment, however many of you are in it. You are looking at £80 for an hour, £100 for ninety minutes, £120 for two. For two people, ninety is usually the sensible choice. The first 15-minute consultation is free, so nothing is spent before you know how it feels.
In England you can refer yourself through the NHS Talking Therapies finder without going via a GP, though the programme treats anxiety and depression rather than relationships as such. It can help one partner while the couple work runs separately. Waiting times differ from area to area.
Headphones and a closed door handle most of it, and evening slots often land once the house settles. If there is genuinely no quiet corner in Coseley or Gornal, a parked car is a perfectly reasonable session room. Say what you are working with on the free call.
Yes, and it is worth doing. You cannot change his half, but changing yours reliably changes the exchange between you. Nothing gets reported back to him, and nobody here will push you towards leaving or staying. Plenty of people in this borough start on their own and never bring a partner.
Not at all. Because counselling is online, there is no need to reach a station or drive across town. You and your partner meet by video from wherever feels private at home, which many couples in Dudley find far easier than arranging travel to an appointment.
Online relationship counselling in Dudley has no waiting list. We start with a free 15-minute consultation, and once you and your partner choose a weekly time, sessions can begin soon after. From Brierley Hill to Sedgley or Kingswinford, the work is arranged entirely by video.
Dudley couples can self-refer free to NHS Talking Therapies, though a wait is common. My private fees are £80 for an hour, 100 for 90 minutes and 120 for two hours, after a free 15-minute consultation. Many couples go private to start without waiting.
Because Dudley has no mainstream railway station, travel to appointments can be a chore, so online sessions help. Partners can join from separate places, one in Netherton and one from work, and evening slots outside standard hours are often available.
A free fifteen-minute call is the simplest place to start, no obligation, just a chance to see if we are the right fit.
