Online Relationship Counselling · Ayr
Online relationship counselling for Ayr, by secure video. From a base in Hove I work with people across Ayr, from the seafront and the centre to the streets around the beach, with the same BACP-registered, confidential support as an in-person session, and no journey.

In and around Ayr
Life in Ayr
Ayr runs on a season. Between the fixtures at Ayr Racecourse and the summer trade along the Firth of Clyde coast the town is busy and the hours are long; by November the front is quiet and the money is thin. Couples in Wallacetown and Newton describe a year split in two, working opposite shifts through the good months and then sitting across from one another all winter with the bills stacked up. Others have one partner on the road out of town before seven and back after seven, which leaves a marriage running on text messages. The quiet months are when everything left unsaid over the summer finally has room to be noticed.

Relationship counselling here, for couples or individuals, slows down the pattern you are caught in and builds healthier ways of hearing and being heard.
The method travels; only the geography changes. relationship counselling in detail explains it properly, session lengths and fees answers the practical questions, and how to check my registration shows how the practice is held to account.
Sessions run over a secure, encrypted video link, held to the same BACP confidentiality as meeting in person. After a free fifteen-minute call, you join from any private space on a phone, tablet or laptop.
Bradley is in Hove and there is no room in Ayr, so this happens by secure video. In a town this size that matters. You are not parking outside a building on a street where the car would be recognised, and nobody has to be told why you were in town on a Tuesday evening. A session can sit in the gap between shifts, and one of you can join from another room, or another town, if the week demands it.

Relationship Counselling in Ayr
Money and drink are the two things couples here most often circle without landing on. When work is seasonal, a bad winter is not an abstraction: it is a January where one of you wants to talk about the overdraft and the other cannot bear to. Drinking often follows the same shape, heavier in the quiet months, until it becomes the argument that stands in for every other argument. We work on how the two of you actually talk when it matters: who withdraws, who pushes, what happens in the four hours after a row. Trust and repair take up a good deal of the time, whether the breach was an affair, a hidden debt or years of small letdowns. Alongside this, your GP can refer you to NHS psychological therapies, NHS inform has trusted self-help, and Breathing Space is free on 0800 83 85 87.
Not sure if it is right for you? A free fifteen-minute call is a no-obligation way to talk it through.
Book a free 15-minute callMy online counselling sits alongside the help available locally. In Ayr, your GP can refer you to NHS psychological therapies, and you can find trusted self-help through NHS inform. You can find support through NHS inform; for confidential listening support, Breathing Space is free on 0800 83 85 87.
Private sessions with me usually mean you can start sooner and stay with the same counsellor throughout; I am glad to work alongside any NHS or GP support you already have.

This is not a crisis service. If anyone is in immediate danger call 999. For urgent mental health support, call NHS 24 on 111 for urgent mental health support. Breathing Space is free on 0800 83 85 87, the Samaritans are on 116 123, and you can text SHOUT to 85258.
Ayr questions
Usually, yes. A regular weekly slot works best, but daytime hours between a lunch service and an evening one are available and are often easier in summer than an evening appointment would be. If the rota moves each fortnight, we can set the time a week ahead rather than fixing it permanently.
No. One session is one fee, however many of you are on the call. For the two of you, sixty minutes costs £80, ninety costs £100 and two hours costs £120. Couples work often benefits from ninety minutes so neither person feels rushed at the end. The first 15-minute consultation is free, and is a conversation rather than an assessment.
Your GP is the starting point and can refer you into NHS psychological therapies. NHS inform sets out self-help worth reading while you wait, and Breathing Space is free on 0800 83 85 87 for the evenings that get bad. A private session and an NHS referral can run alongside each other.
Start with what happens between you rather than with the drinking itself, because that is the part relationship work can reach. For the drinking, We Are With You, South Ayrshire offers direct support in the area, and your GP can advise. You are welcome to come alone if he is not ready.
That is exactly why online suits small places. There is no waiting area, no reception desk and no car outside a recognisable door. Choose a room where the door shuts, use headphones, and the hour stays between us. Nothing about it is shared with anyone locally, ever.
It can, and video helps. Because sessions are arranged by secure video around your week, we can work with changing shifts and busy summers, then keep going through the quieter winter. There is no fixed clinic time or journey to build your work around.
Usually within a week or two. We begin with a free 15-minute consultation, then book a first session that suits you both. Everything is by secure video along the Ayrshire coast, so there is no waiting list and no trip up towards Glasgow to manage.
Sessions are £80 for an hour, £100 for 90 minutes and £120 for two hours, after a free 15-minute consultation. NHS Ayrshire and Arran rarely offers dedicated couples work and waits can be long, so many Ayr couples choose private online sessions to start sooner.
Yes. Because sessions are arranged by secure video around your week, we can work with changing shifts and busy summer months, then keep going through the quieter winter. Evening slots help, and if one of you is away you can join from two different places along the coast.
A free fifteen-minute call is the simplest place to start, no obligation, just a chance to see if we are the right fit.
