Anxiety and worry
When your mind will not settle and everything feels urgent.
Online Counselling and Therapy · Perth
Online counselling and therapy for Perth, by secure video. From a base in Hove I work with people across Perth, from the centre and the Inches to the streets around the Tay, with the same BACP-registered, confidential support as an in-person session, and no journey.

In and around Perth
Life in Perth
In a small city most difficulties are handled privately for a long time before anybody speaks. People get in touch from Craigie, Tulloch and Kinnoull describing a year that has gone flat: sleep that broke and never mended, work that feels heavier than it is, a social life that quietly shrank. Some are studying at Perth College UHI; some have farmed or done the same job for thirty years. What they share is the absence of a name for it, and a suspicion that whatever this is does not qualify as a proper reason to ask anybody for help. It does.

Counselling and therapy here is one steady starting point for whatever you are carrying, anxiety, low mood, addiction, relationships or the past, integrative and led by you, so we begin with what matters most and shape the work around you.
Rather than say the same thing on every page, the substance lives on everything on counselling and therapy, with how I work for the practical questions and qualifications, registration and ethics for registration and ethics.
Sessions run over a secure, encrypted video link, held to the same BACP confidentiality as meeting in person. After a free fifteen-minute call, you join from any private space on a phone, tablet or laptop.
Sessions are held online because Bradley works from Hove and there is no room in the city. Given how far apart things are here, that changes what is realistically available to you. Instead of a long drive to whichever service is nearest, the hour happens where you already are. That matters particularly in winter, and it matters if you would rather not be seen going into somewhere in a place where faces are recognised.

When your mind will not settle and everything feels urgent.
For the flatness, exhaustion and loss of interest that drain the colour from things.
Alcohol, drugs, gambling or behaviours that have stopped feeling like a choice.
Conflict, distance and trust, as a couple or on your own.
When something you have been through still shapes your present.
For the big transitions, losses and crossroads that leave you unsure which way to turn.
Counselling and Therapy in Perth
This is the starting point, and no label is needed to use it. We work in the present: what your weeks contain, what tips a day into a bad one, what you have stopped doing, and what could realistically change. It is short to medium term, usually a handful of weeks to a few months, and we review it openly instead of letting it run on out of habit. Rural isolation, low pay and the long quiet stretch after the visitors have gone all turn up here regularly. So does the particular guilt of feeling low in a place other people come to for a holiday. If you would rather go through the health service, your GP can refer you into NHS psychological therapies; NHS inform has trusted self-help, and Breathing Space is free on 0800 83 85 87.
Not sure if it is right for you? A free fifteen-minute call is a no-obligation way to talk it through.

In Perth, your GP can refer you to NHS psychological therapies, and you can find trusted self-help through NHS inform. You can find support through NHS inform; for confidential listening support, Breathing Space is free on 0800 83 85 87.
Private sessions with me usually mean you can start sooner and stay with the same counsellor throughout; I am glad to work alongside any NHS or GP support you already have.

This is not a crisis service. If anyone is in immediate danger call 999. For urgent mental health support, call NHS 24 on 111 for urgent mental health support. Breathing Space is free on 0800 83 85 87, the Samaritans are on 116 123, and you can text SHOUT to 85258.
Perth questions
Almost certainly. There is no threshold to cross and no competition over who is worst off. If something has been sitting on you for months and you have not been able to shift it on your own, that is a sufficient reason to talk it through with somebody.
Exactly the same as it does for somebody in the middle of the city. All you need is a private space and a decent connection, and everything else is identical. That is why online has made counselling reachable for people whose nearest alternative was an hour's drive each way.
Sixty minutes is £80, ninety minutes is £100 and a two-hour appointment is £120. Payment happens session by session, so nothing is committed in advance. Before any of that there is a free 15-minute consultation, which is a conversation rather than an assessment of you.
Speak to your GP, who is the route into NHS psychological therapies. It is worth asking what the wait looks like, because a rural service can be stretched. NHS inform has self-help you can trust in the meantime, and Breathing Space is free on 0800 83 85 87 out of hours.
Something has usually shifted underneath rather than at work: a bereavement, children leaving, health, or simply the accumulated weight of years without a proper break. Counselling can find out which, and that tends to be more useful than deciding you have inexplicably lost your nerve.
Yes. Sessions take place by secure video from your own home, with no local waiting room and no one to see you arrive. In a small city where faces are familiar, that discretion is often what makes it feel safe to talk at all.
Often within days. We start with a free 15-minute call, then arrange your first secure video session around your week. There is no NHS Tayside waiting list to join and no journey into Perth, so getting started from the city or its villages is straightforward.
Counselling is £80 for 60 minutes, with 90-minute and two-hour options at £100 and £120, plus a free 15-minute consultation. NHS Tayside talking therapy is free but can carry a wait, so private sessions mainly buy a sooner, more flexible start without the drive.
Yes. As long as you have a reasonable connection and somewhere private, secure video reaches you wherever you are, far more practical than driving into Perth for an hour. Sessions feel natural once they begin, and where you live in the county matters far less.
A free fifteen-minute call is the simplest place to start, no obligation, just a chance to see if we are the right fit.
